Short version: we run no ads, we set analytics cookies only if you accept them, and we only see your personal details if you send them to us.

Browsing

Our host (Vercel) keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running. Fonts load from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address when your browser requests them. When you open a map, its tiles load from Stadia Maps (or OSM France as a fallback), which also see your IP address. “Near me” uses your device's location only in your browser to sort cafés; it is never sent to us. Your filter choices stay in the page address and in your browser.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages people use, so we know which cities and guides help. It runs in Google's consent mode: until you choose, Google Analytics sets no cookies, and if you decline it never does. If you accept, it sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_…) and records the pages you view, how you arrived, and your approximate location, device and browser. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. Google processes this data for us; see Google's privacy policy.

Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie. You can change it any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page, or by clearing this site's data in your browser.

The listing form

When you send the listing form, its contents and any photos you attach are emailed to us through our email provider (Resend) and kept in our inbox for as long as the listing exists, plus one year. We use them to create, check and maintain the listing, and to reply to you. We don't sell or share them, and we don't add you to a mailing list.

Café details

Public listing data (a café's name, address, hours and public pages) comes from OpenStreetMap, from open datasets such as Overture Maps, and from café owners. A café owner can ask us to correct or remove a listing at any time.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@topblog.agency.
