Tokyo's comfortable months for sitting outside are few. Over 1991–2020 the mean daily high was 19.4°C in April, 23.6°C in May and 16.7°C in November, against 31.3°C in August, when nights averaged 23.5°C.1 The wettest months are not June but September and October, with about 225 mm and 235 mm of rain.1
