Wi-Fi cafés in Almaty

Staying online in Almaty is easy outside cafés too. By November 2025 the city had more than 800 free Wi-Fi access points in public spaces, among them the airport, the stadium, the Palace of the Republic, the Terrenkur riverside walk and the parks, built with Freedom Telecom.1

Golden Square has the most cafés with Wi-Fi, ahead of Bostandyk, where they line Rozybakiev Street. Arbat & Green Bazaar has fewer, but a larger share of its cafés offers a connection than most districts do.

Local tip: Check the day before a work session: MAMA's on Al-Farabi Avenue opens only on weekdays and TakeAway on Tolebaev Street only at weekends.

Rozybakiev Street and Bostandyk

Rozybakiev Street is the densest run: Arizona Coffee Almaty (336) serves until 23:00, Coffee Mill (336/5) opens at 07:00, and Basqur (343/6) keeps 09:00–22:00, all with Wi-Fi. Delish on Radostovets Street is open 08:00–23:00.

On Abay Avenue, Seventy Coffee at number 115 has Wi-Fi and outdoor seats; rabbit is on Auezov Street, Quelle on Serkebayev Avenue, and Adriano Coffee, open 07:30–00:00, has both Wi-Fi and terrace tables.

The center and the Arbat

In the Golden Square, Sensilyo Coffee house on Kabanbay Batyr, JumpinGoat Coffee on Abay Avenue and Paco coffee&pastry at Zheltoksan 75 all have Wi-Fi. Voronka at Zheltoksan 160 keeps it running until midnight, and Кафе Плюс further down the street from 08:00. Bona coffee (Dostyk 40), Чашка (Dostyk 30), Bostan coffee (Zheltoksan 129), Flask Coffee and Aurora on Abylai Khan Avenue, and City Hub round out the list.

Near the Arbat, Magic Coffee on Zhibek Zholy, La Bosco on Gogol, KobakoTsuvari and Arabica speciality coffee have Wi-Fi, and Coffee Original at Gogol 75 never switches off. In Almaly, Coffee Orginal at Kabanbay Batyr 117 is also open 24 hours, and Qrupa Coffee on Baitursynov Street opens 08:00–21:00.

Timing a work session

Café traffic in Kazakhstan is front-loaded: sales peak at 09:00, a quarter of daily takings come between 08:00 and 10:00, and half the day's money is in by 13:00.2 South of Abay Avenue, MAMA's on Al-Farabi Avenue offers Wi-Fi only on weekdays, 09:00–19:00, while TakeAway on Tolebaev Street opens only on Saturdays and Sundays, 09:00–23:00.

Лето (Leto) at Al-Farabi 21 and Violet on Zein Shashkin Street, which never closes, both have Wi-Fi; in Samal, Bal on Dostyk Avenue and Зоя on Lugansky Street do too.

Anticafés and late Wi-Fi

In an anticafé the connection is part of the time you pay for. Most such places offer free Wi-Fi and some a printer, along with board or video games.3 TimeKafe on Altynsarin Avenue lists free Wi-Fi with its 1,100 ₸ first hour, along with more than 55 teas, bean coffee and more than 200 board games, as of 2026.4

West of the center, Time Cafe "Relax" on Shalyapin Street keeps its Wi-Fi on until 02:00, and El Coffee, Jurtam and Lakomka Foods in Auezov & Sairan serve until 22:00 or 23:00. Lakomka Foods is a bakery with Wi-Fi, open 08:00–23:00, and Jurtam on Ryskulov Street opens at 11:00 and takes cards.
