Cafés with Wi-Fi in Fukuoka

Cafés with Wi-Fi, and how Fukuoka's free city network works.

The first network to know in Fukuoka is the city's own. Fukuoka City Wi-Fi is free at all subway stations, major transport hubs and many sightseeing and commercial sites. Register once with a name and an email address or social-media account, and access lasts six months, with no cap on how long or how often you connect.1

The service began on 27 April 2012 on the Airport Line, in the City Hall lobby and at the Tenjin tourist information center, when a session lasted 15 minutes. The Hakozaki and Nanakuma lines and the Hakata tourist information center were due to follow in late June that year.2 Cafés with their own Wi-Fi are spread across the city, from Manu Coffee's bar in Daimyō to Honey Coffee's café in Takamiya and two cafés in Nishijin.

Local tip: Register for Fukuoka City Wi-Fi at Fukuoka Airport's subway station when you arrive: one registration covers six months.1

Where these cafés are: Nishijin & Fujisaki (2), Ohori Park & Akasaka (2), Tenjin (1), Daimyō (1), Takamiya & Ōhashi (1), Ropponmatsu (1), Shiobara & Minami-Ōhashi (1).
