Wi-Fi cafés split between the old town and Bella Vista. In Casco Viejo, Sisu, Geisha Terroir and Super Gourmet on Avenida A have it; in Bella Vista, Athanasiou on Calle Colombia, Coffee Max and Natturah, which also serves brunch. Leto's bar on Calle 61 Este in Obarrio sells itself as a coworking space with fast Wi-Fi and power outlets, and the Plaza 76 bar in San Francisco, open daily 08:00–17:00, offers free Wi-Fi alongside its terrace.2 Sugarbmd's 2026 guide put spending at Leto at US$7–18 a person, the same range as at Sisu.3

Hours for a full working day

Athanasiou on Calle Colombia opens 06:30–22:00 every day, Wi-Fi and air-conditioning included. Cafe Kotowa on Calle 71 runs 06:00–18:00 Monday to Saturday, the earliest start of the group.

Geisha Terroir keeps 09:00–18:30 daily. Coffee Max opens 08:00–21:00 on weekdays and closes at 16:00 at weekends, Super Gourmet runs 08:00–17:00 Monday to Saturday, and Sisu closes on Mondays.5 Panama Ammunition Coffee is a weekday-only option, 09:00–15:00.

Sundays narrow the choice: Sisu opens 09:00–18:00, Super Gourmet 10:00–16:00 and Coffee Max until 16:00, while Athanasiou and Geisha Terroir keep their daily hours.5

Connection speeds and plugs

Speedtest's Global Index for September 2026 put Panama's median fixed-broadband speed at 233 Mbps down and 24.5 Mbps up, 26th in the world; the median mobile connection managed about 40 Mbps down, 88th.6 Uploads are the weak side, so large files go faster on café broadband than on a phone hotspot.6

Panama runs on 120 V, 60 Hz power with Type A and B sockets, the North American standard, so US and Canadian chargers fit without an adapter.7

Air-conditioning and the heat

With a year-round mean high of 32.1 °C and humidity averaging 77.3%, a cooled room decides how long you can work.8 Athanasiou, Geisha Terroir and Panama Ammunition Coffee have air-conditioning as well as Wi-Fi, and all three have toilets. From May to November an indoor table also keeps the laptop clear of the afternoon storms.9 Panama Ammunition Coffee, at calle 4ta, local 57 in Parque Lefevre, adds outdoor tables for a break from the screen.

Sisu and Athanasiou take cards, which saves a trip for cash on a long day, and so does Natturah in Bella Vista, which also serves brunch and has tables indoors and out.
