Free Wi-Fi is the norm in Vietnam: a 2025 guide to the country's internet finds free connections in most hotels, cafés, restaurants and public places.2 The lines behind them are fast. Ookla's Speedtest index for August 2026 ranked Vietnam eighth in the world for fixed broadband, with a median download of 301.48 Mbps against a global median of 129.68 Mbps.1
Đà Lạt adds the weather. At about 1,500 m, the mean daily high moves only between 21.4°C in December and 25.3°C in April, so an open-fronted café stays comfortable through a full working day.3 Cafés with Wi-Fi are spread across the center, with the largest group around the market and the Hòa Bình quarter.
Local tip: Ask for the mật khẩu Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi password) when you order, and if you are still working at lunchtime, order a second drink.

Working around Đà Lạt's rain and cold mornings
The calendar splits cleanly. From May to October, Đà Lạt averages 20 to 24 rainy days a month, with September the wettest at about 283 mm; from December to February it sees only two to six.3 Mornings are the cold part of the day: the mean daily low runs from 11.7°C in January to 16.4°C in June, so an early session at a café with open doors calls for a jacket.3
For an early start, Cà phê nguyên chất TRANG at 34 Hai Bà Trưng and K.A. Coffee on Thông Thiên Học both open at 06:00. Harry Potter Coffee at 23 Ngô Văn Sở opens at 06:15 and keeps going until 22:00, one of the longest days among these cafés.
Where Đà Lạt's Wi-Fi cafés are
The market and Hòa Bình area has the most Wi-Fi cafés, followed by Phan Đình Phùng & Bùi Thị Xuân, then Xuân Hương Lake & the station. Near the market, Len's Cafe at 07 Nguyễn Chí Thanh opens 10:00–22:00, and Gu Coffee sits at 02 Trương Công Định. On the Phan Đình Phùng side, Kyoudai Coffee at 427/7 Phan Đình Phùng opens 07:30–21:00 and has outdoor tables, and Cuties Coffee M&m in alley 1P off Nguyễn Công Trứ runs 09:00–21:00.
For an evening session, Len's Cafe, Harry Potter Coffee, An Cafe, Oh! My Kids Coffee in an alley off Trần Phú and Onion Coffee and Pastry at 278 Phù Đổng Thiên Vương all stay open until 22:00. In the north, The Cloud Forest at 144 Vòng Lâm Viên pairs Wi-Fi with outdoor seating but closes at 17:00.
A music café and an arabica roaster
Cafe Tùng at 6 Khu Hòa Bình is the oldest name here. VnExpress described it in 2014 as more than half a century old and named after its owner, a northerner who had moved south, with worn furniture, a rusting iron staircase and love songs by Trịnh Công Sơn and Vũ Thành An on the stereo.4 Its low tables seat guests close together, so take calls elsewhere.4
La Viet Coffee at 198 Nguyễn Công Trứ belongs to a brand that opened its first workshop café in Đà Lạt in 2013 and works with local farmers on arabica; by 2023 it had 14 stores in Đà Lạt, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Quy Nhơn.5 Coffee is among the crops Đà Lạt supplies to the rest of the country.3 HOG Specialty Coffee at 15A Huỳnh Thúc Kháng, in the Trần Phú area, also has Wi-Fi.
Laptop manners in a Vietnamese café
Café owners in Vietnam have their own view of laptop guests. Tuổi Trẻ reported in 2024 on owners frustrated by customers who work from morning to afternoon on a single drink. A Đà Nẵng owner said staff may politely ask laptop users to give up a seat at peak times, and readers suggested ordering again during a long stay.6
A café router is only one connection, so keep a local SIM as backup. Vietnam's median mobile download in August 2026 was 219.93 Mbps, ninth in the world and about double the global median of 109.05 Mbps.1
