The everyday Porto breakfast is short: a coffee, often with a small pastry or a plain piece of toast.1 Brunch is the long version, and it is no longer a weekend-only meal. Time Out Porto's April 2026 guide included places serving it daily, such as Eatery 119 at 119 Rua de Rodrigues Sampaio, open 09:00–18:00 seven days a week.2
Coffee bars did much to spread it. Fábrica Coffee Roasters' café on Rua de José Falcão serves brunch dishes such as avocado toast and pancakes, and across the river in Vila Nova de Gaia, 7g Roaster offers brunch all day.3
Local tip: Book where you can: Comfort Cakes takes weekend brunch by reservation only. Several places, including Eatery 119 and Fábrica on Rua de José Falcão, serve brunch every day, so a weekday visit avoids the Sunday crowd.
Where these cafés are: Aliados & Clérigos (5), Ribeira & Sé (2), Cedofeita & Miguel Bombarda (2), Bolhão & Santa Catarina (2), Foz do Douro (1), Marquês & Paranhos (1).

Time Out's April 2026 prices put a café brunch at about €15–20 a head. Eatery 119 averages around €15 per person, the brunch menus at Do Norte on Rua de Fernandes Tomás cost €15.95, and Camélia Brunch Garden on Rua do Passeio Alegre in Foz offers menus at €15 and €17.2
At Comfort Cakes on Rua de Antero de Quental, the full weekend brunch costs €19.50 per person, and booking is mandatory. Hotels charge more: Broadway's Brunch, the Sunday buffet at the Four Points in Matosinhos, was €35. Coffee at the brunch cafés Time Out picked ran €2–4.2
Brunch cafés cluster in Aliados & Clérigos, ahead of Ribeira & Sé, Bolhão & Santa Catarina and Cedofeita & Miguel Bombarda. Rua do Almada has two. Say Cheesecake! & Co. at 21 serves brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, with New York-style cheesecakes in eight flavors a day and mimosas, and Yanetta is at 614.2 Lazy Breakfast Club at 110 Rua das Oliveiras serves daily 09:00–19:00.
Rua de José Falcão is another brunch street. Fábrica, at 122, opens daily 09:00–17:00, and Time Out recommends two more on the same street, both open every day: Zenith Brunch & Cocktails at 34, 09:00–16:00, and Eleven Lab at 39, on the mezzanine of the LOT shop, 09:00–18:00.2
In Ribeira & Sé, Brunch Na Sé at 24 Rua de Sant'Ana serves Monday to Saturday 08:30–15:00. My Coffee Porto, which opened in July 2019, is at 72 Rua Chã and opens daily 08:00–17:00.3
In Cedofeita, The Terrace by Esquires at 18 Rua de Miguel Bombarda has outdoor tables and stays open until 18:00 at weekends, and Rosi. Cafe & more at 281 Rua do Rosário closes at 17:00 on weekdays and 16:00 at weekends.
Brunch is a daytime meal here. Tomás Coffee Brunch at 355 Rua de Fernandes Tomás serves only 09:00–14:00 and closes on Wednesdays. For an early start, Flor do Damião in Paranhos opens at 07:00 Monday to Saturday, and Tavi's padaria at 356 Rua da Senhora da Luz in Foz serves from 07:15 on weekdays.
If you'd rather eat the way regulars do, order at the counter: um galão is coffee with more milk than coffee in a glass, uma meia de leite is equal parts of each, and the usual partner is a torrada, buttered toast.4
